Some U.S. privacy laws give residents the right to opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information that may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.” This page explains those rights and provides a way to submit an opt-out request where applicable.
Uncaged Ergonomics does not sell personal information for money. However, certain advertising, analytics, cookie, pixel, or similar technology practices can be defined as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged.

An opt-out does not mean that all collection or use of personal information stops. It applies to the specific sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, or similar activities covered by applicable privacy law.

Global Privacy Control
You may also send an opt-out signal through your browser
Global Privacy Control, commonly called GPC, is a browser or device-level preference signal that communicates a request to opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize GPC and our privacy systems receive a valid signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending the signal. If you use multiple browsers or devices, the signal may need to be enabled separately on each one.
GPC is different from older “Do Not Track” browser settings. Do Not Track has not been adopted as a consistent industry standard, while GPC is expressly recognized in certain U.S. privacy regimes.

What you should expect
- Where your request applies, covered uses or disclosures for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising will be restricted as required by law.
- You may still see advertising, but it may be less personalized.
- Essential cookies and technologies needed for checkout, security, fraud prevention, account functions, and site operation may continue to be used.
- Information can still be disclosed to service providers and processors when necessary to operate our business and permitted by law.
- Transactional communications about orders, returns, warranties, support, or account activity are not stopped by an advertising opt-out.
- Marketing email preferences are managed separately using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails.

Does Uncaged Ergonomics sell my personal information for money?
No. We do not sell personal information for money. Some disclosures involving advertising, analytics, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies may nevertheless be legally defined as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising in certain jurisdictions.
Why is the page called “Do Not Sell or Share” if you do not sell data for money?
Modern U.S. privacy laws use broader definitions than an ordinary cash sale. Certain advertising or data disclosures can fall within statutory definitions of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged.
Will opting out stop all cookies?
No. Cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for checkout, security, account functions, fraud prevention, or other essential site operations may continue to be used. Privacy choices generally apply to non-essential covered uses.
Will I stop receiving marketing emails?
No. Email marketing preferences are separate from this opt-out. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link included in a marketing email.
What is Global Privacy Control?
GPC is a browser or device preference signal that can communicate an opt-out request. Where required by applicable law, a valid GPC signal is treated as a request to opt out of covered sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity for the browser or device sending the signal.
Do I need to submit a request on every device?
Device-based privacy choices can depend on the browser, device, cookie, or identifier involved. A GPC signal generally applies to the browser or device sending it. Submitting the email-based form can help associate a request with the information and account identifiers the privacy system is able to recognize.
Can you deny an opt-out request?
Privacy rights depend on the law that applies to your jurisdiction and the activity involved. If a particular statutory right does not apply, the automated tool may indicate that the request is not applicable. You can contact us if you believe a request was not handled correctly.
Will exercising a privacy right affect my ability to buy products?
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Information that is reasonably necessary to process an order, prevent fraud, deliver products, provide support, or comply with law can still be processed.
